If you are a Percy Jackson fan, you will recognize that scene where the cyclops, Tyson, stops the bull that spewed flames at everybody in the camp. He grabbed the bull by the horns as it shot flames at him but he was unharmed. Why? And why are the cyclops fireproof in Greek Mythology?
This movie touches on the literal interpretation of these fantastical stories found in the mythology of the Greeks. But you and I both know that they have much deeper interpretations that are meant for the true initiate, the true seeker of inner wisdom that discards the surface story for spiritual growth.
Zeus freed the cyclops so that they could aid him in overthrowing the titans. As a token of appreciation for being freed, they created the thunderbolt for him.
Zeus is you, and the cyclops represents the single eye that is activated during meditation, the pineal gland.
When you turn inward during meditation, you begin to touch that kingdom within. The cyclops (third eye/pineal gland) comes to your aid to bring you to the realization of your own divinity. You have awakened the Christ within, which is the bride to the bridegroom, Jesus. It’s an inner marriage that begets awakening.
You can’t defeat the twelve titans (twelve aspects within you that are out of control and dwelling in the lower nature – Tartarus) without the cyclops (single eye) and the thunderbolt (enlightenment). Balance is restored at this point when the cyclops is freed from its prison. And yes, this is the same thing as the twelve disciples and the Christ within. The Christ within brings into balance the twelve aspects of your being when your eye is single. Jesus was a fan of the cyclops, too.

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Is Zeus in the Bible? Maybe. He is pre-Christian after all and would have been a source to pull from.
Matthew 24:27 (KJV)
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
To understand why the cyclops is fireproof, you need to understand that the Greeks wrote these stories having in mind the stages of consciousness that are represented by the elements (from lowest to highest): Earth, Water, Air & Fire. Beta, Alpha, Theta & Delta.
The Third Eye (cyclops) is the highest state of consciousness, which is associated with fire. Fire is not a destructive force in this case but a symbolic burning away of the lower carnal self.
The reason that the cyclops is not consumed and destroyed by the fire is the same reason the burning bush was not destroyed. It’s not a literal bush. The fire is an all-consuming force that dwells within you to burn away that which does not serve you anymore.
You have the cyclops dwelling in Tartarus within you. It’s time to set it free.
